Kuoni named world’s best tour operator for the tenth time
The Kuoni Group has been named as the World’s Leading Tour Operator for 2008 for the tenth time at the World Travel Awards.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards are based on the input of over 165,000 travel industry specialists from all over the world.

Kuoni offers tailor made luxury beach holidays in exotic locations from romantic private islands to lively resorts with watersports and diving.

In The Seychelles, Kuoni guests stay at some of the island's best hotels and resorts, including the the Maia Luxury Resort And Spa, a beautiful boutique hotel situated on the secluded white sand beach of Anse Louis, Mahe, and the private resort island of Denis Island with its 23 air-conditioned cottages and world-class diving and fishing.

You'll find the 115 islands that make up The Seychelles basking in the sun-drenched Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa, north east of Madagascar.

With an average annual temperature of
84°F (29°C), The Seychelles are generally hot and humid, but the heat is usually mitigated by refreshing sea breezes, especially near the island's world renowned beaches. And of course you can always cool down in the warm waters that surround the islands.

The cooler months in The Seychelles are usually late May to September and the weather is generally drier then too. March to May is the hottest time of year and also the wettest.

The capital of The Seychelles is Victoria and it can be found on the largest island, Mahe. The international airport is close to Victoria, a town that is home to around 25,000 people - a third of the population of The Seychelles.

La Digue, with its white sandy beaches fringed by palm trees and a coastline peppered by pink granite rocks, is perhaps the most famous of The Seychelles islands. L'Anse Source D'Argent on La Digue is widely regarded as one of the finest beaches in the entire world.
